North Downs travelled to Leyton to take part in the first round of the EKA cup. Overlooked by the shadows of what looked like monster sea-gulls on the roof of the hall, the first match was against Highbury 1. Despite being 2 goals down after the first half, North Downs fought back to draw at full time, eventually winning on penalties.

The second match against Milton Keynes followed directly after the firsts and despite a close start, North Downs won convincingly with the final score being 9 - 3.

25th March 2007

Phew, what a day! Well done to the first team for a thoroughly outstanding game, I think all who saw the game agreed it was one of, if not the the best performance of the season as the score shows 13-4. Well Croydon just about did us a favour by winning 13-12 so it looks like its ND against Bec in a playoff for the second promotion spot.

5th November 2006

The first game of the season for the 1st team was against Cambridge City away. The game set off at a very fast pace and following a great running-in shot by ‘debutant’ Katie in the first attack of the game, ND never looked back and ran out eventual winners 14-9. Next up is a double header in Norwich at the beginning of December. The scorers were: Steve, Ian (6), John (3), Jennie (2), Richard and Rachel.
