Club History

North Downs Korfball Club is a friendly and informal Surrey/South London based BKA-affiliated korfball club that was founded in 1975.

It has developed gradually over the past three decades, with a varying number of senior and junior teams (depending on the number of playing members), competing at both local (LDKA) and national (BKA) levels.

Several of our players over the years have been selected for the Great Britain squad and played at international level.

The club has maintained strong links over the years with our friends at Waterland KV in Amsterdam, with an annual exchange over Easter.

As the club continues to grow, new members and experienced players are always welcome.

The club prides itself in having a very family friendly focus, with different generations of the same family currently competing. Some of our former juniors studying at university now represent their country. Our current crop of juniors have already begun to show their calibre and will undoubtedly follow suite and play at the highest level.
